Photoshop / Restoration / Retouching
My adventure into Photographic print started in 1991, as a student of Mick Williamson (Senior Photography Lecturer & fountain of knowledge) on the ‘Certificate in Fine and Applied Art Photography’ at Sir John Cass Faculty of Art, Whitechapel, London. Where Mick instilled in me ‘The Zone System’, working with Black & White and Colour Photography, hand printing with professional enlargers and using 35mm, medium and large format cameras, I began to develop my eye. 1996 I finished a Degree in Fine Art and began work as a colour separation technician, working with drum scanners and Photoshop at a reprographics house, in Farringdon, London. Progressing to Pear Tree Studios, the first Digital Photography Studio in London.
Ilford, Photographic material manufacturer, identified my skills when they invited me to supply two handmade prints, for display in the “Millennium Exhibition” at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham England. Please view my portfolio below and email me at howard@visualmemory.co.nz to discuss how I can add impact to your Photography. Click on the thumb-nails below to view larger Photos. |
